The complex enhances steel cord corrosion resistance and promotes rubber adhesion in radial tires by bonding with sulfur in vulcanized rubber and sulfided brass. Its boro-acylate structure provides superior durability under heat, moisture, oxidative, and acidic/alkaline conditions. The Boro Acylate is supreme amongst other anions, due to its superior performance under harsh ageing conditions such as heat, oxygen, moisture, acids and alkali.

The complex comprises of a central Boron atom, bound by three Cobalt monocarboxylates of Neodecanoic acid. The function of this chemical is to improve the bonding of rubber to steel belt re-inforcing in radial tires utilized in the automotive industry. The Co-Boro Neodecanoate provides excellent adhesion properties under severe ageing conditions, such as heat, oxygen, steam, acids and alkali.

A widely used organometallic additive in rubber formulations for radial tires, where it enhances bonding between brass-coated steel cords and sulfur-vulcanized elastomers. Its advantageous thermal stability, solubility, and controlled release of Co²⁺ ions contribute to the formation of a robust interfacial copper sulfide layer and improved crosslink density near the steel surface.

Corelink®™ CS-9.5

A popular performing bonding agent, which enhances the bond between the rubber and the brass or zinc plated cords, as well as various bare steel. Its direct bonding properties are ideal for use in steel cord tyres, steel wire fortified hoses and conveyors, as well as other rubber, metal composites. Cobalt Stearate is typically supplied at a 9,5% Cobalt concentration.
